Helpful Resources for Survivors of Narcissistic Abuse and Domestic Violence
Work in progress
--
***I am still compiling this resource list. I wanted to go ahead and publish it so you wouldn’t have to wait to find the help you may need.***
Here are some of the resources I have found helpful as I moved from victim to survivor.
I have a feeling this list will change as I continue to learn more.
Feel free to drop your favorite resources in the comments so others can have access to them.
First Get to Safety
Thehotline.org Head to The National Domestic Violence Hotline website to find a number to call and speak with someone. You can also chat on the website.
Search for your local domestic violence organizations. Even if you don’t need to stay at a shelter they can help you with local resources and a safety plan.
Youtube Channels
There are lots of wonderful youtube channels out there to learn from. I’m sharing some of my favorites.
Doctor Ramani is awesome and you will see her mentioned by many in the narcissistic abuse awareness space. There’s a good reason why. She gives you what you need to know to understand a narcissist’s behavior and how it applies to you. She doesn’t stop there though. She also leads you forward and helps you learn what to do to protect yourself and change the way you relate to others.
Sheri gets right to the point with her videos. I just like her. You can tell she knows what it’s like to go through narc abuse and her thoughts are helpful to bring you to a better understanding. I wish she had more videos available.
